If It Feels Like Woodstock…

Three days of music, held in a farm field, lots of rain – sound familiar? The Hoxeyville Music Festival was fun, but slightly strange. It was like having a flashback to 1969. I had no idea there were this many hippies left in the world. Seriously now, we’re talking big bell bottoms, tie-dye shirts, peace signs, vans with carpet on the walls, there was even a flower-power school bus/camper! If Country Joe and The Fish had gotten onstage and started playing, the picture would have been complete.

And of course, there was the rain. The weather was dismal all day and all night Saturday, quite cold (for August) with a low scud of clouds alternating drizzles to downpours. We got a couple of brief peeks of the sun, maybe a total of 10 seconds. All that aside, everyone was very nice and helpful, and the music was outstanding. I was given the stage at 3pm, and performed “The Legend” for a wet but enthusiastic crowd.

We’re heading back to Hoxeyville Music Festival today for a short appearance – looks like the weather might be a friend today. We’re planning a handful of appearance dates right through Halloween – watch the blog for updates on the schedule. Hope you’ll stop to see us!

Godspeed,

Steve
